The Gaza Civil Defence agency reported on Monday the grim discovery of approximately 200 bodies over the past three days at a hospital in Khan Yunis, victims who were allegedly killed and buried by Israeli forces.

Mahmud Bassal, spokesperson for the Gaza Civil Defence, disclosed that the bodies were found inside Nasser Medical Complex, some of which had decomposed, making identification a challenge. Efforts to recover and identify the bodies are ongoing.

Ismail al-Thawabta, head of the Hamas government media office, claimed a higher count of 283 bodies in the hospital, describing mass graves of individuals allegedly killed by the Israeli army.

Muhammad al-Mughayyir, a senior official at the civil defence agency, affirmed the discovery of the bodies and indicated that the recovery operation would persist until Thursday. The Israeli military has not yet responded to the reports.
