60,000 Register for Census; 17,000 Counters Needed Across Kurdistan

The head of the Sulaimaniyah Statistics Commission told Channel8 that more than 60,000 people have filled out forms to participate in the census process and that 17,000 people needed to count throughout the Kurdistan Region.

Shawan Jabbar, Director of the Sulaimaniyah Statistics Authority, told Channel8 that work is currently underway to announce the names of the enumerators after the names are announced, and they will participate in a training course from November 13 to 15 of this month, and from November 16 to November 19 they will start counting.

The head of the Sulaimaniyah Statistics Authority said that 60,750 people in the Kurdistan Region have filled out the form and about 17,000 people are needed, and the names of the recipients will be announced in the next two days.

The general census process is scheduled to be held in Iraq on November 20 and 21, and the last meeting of the Iraqi Council of Ministers approved the Kurdish demands on the method of conducting the general census.
