A tripartite meeting between the Iraqi government, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), and oil companies may be held in Baghdad tomorrow, the spokesperson for The Association of the Petroleum Industry of Kurdistan (APIKUR) told Channel8 on Wednesday.

APIKUR spokesperson Myles Caggins stated that their conditions for oil exports remain unchanged, and the companies are seeking a new oil export agreement that clarifies their compensation.

Earlier, Myles Caggins told Channel8's Target program that before the resumption of oil exports, a plan should be provided to companies on how they will cover their expenses.

APIKUR includes eight U.S., Canadian, and European companies, with the KRG owing them $1 billion.

Caggins said that they should be paid, and there must be guarantees that their contracts will be honored in the future.

Caggins also noted that the $16 for oil extraction and export costs should apply to oil production used domestically.
