A source informed Channel8 that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Turkish army are engaged in negotiations to establish a ceasefire.

According to the source, both SDF and the Turkish army have made significant progress toward a ceasefire agreement, which is expected to be announced soon.

The source added that the ceasefire negotiations are being conducted under the supervision of The Global Coalition.

The ceasefire talks come amid ongoing strikes by Turkey and Turkish-backed armed forces on several areas under the control of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) in recent months, resulting in numerous casualties, including civilian deaths and injuries.
