Security forces in NE Syria arrest drug ring

Internal security forces of North and East Syria arrested a number of individuals on charges of distributing and using narcotics in Kobani and Manbij.

Initially detaining two individuals in Kobani who were found with narcotics, authorities later uncovered a substantial narcotics distribution network through further investigation and intelligence collection.

The security forces said that as part of the operation, the forces arrested a total of 17 individuals, including one woman and confiscated 214 pills, 20 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, and two explosive devices. 

Furthermore, the security forces said that they arrested two drug users and distributors in the Manbij region after surveillance and evidence gathering.

They added that during this operation, they confiscated 262 pills, a firearm, and a stolen vehicle license plate.
