KRG Ministry of Health to seize and destroy unregistered energy drinks
The Kurdistan Region of Iraq's Ministry of Health has taken a firm stance against unauthorized energy drinks, announcing the seizure and destruction of 31 different types that lack the necessary permits.
The Ministry emphasized that these unauthorized energy drinks, considered smuggled and unfit for consumption, will be swiftly removed from the market.
Highlighting the importance of adherence to regulations, the Ministry clarified that all energy drink manufacturers or importers must obtain official permission through the Ministry of Health.
However, an investigation revealed that over 31 types of energy drinks currently available do not meet the required standards for safe consumption.
Issuing a cautionary note, the Ministry of Health has urged authorities to take immediate action to remove these unregistered products from circulation. Legal measures will be taken against individuals found to be in violation of these regulations.
