Iraq's Crude Oil Exports to the US Surge to Nearly 7 Million Barrels in July
Iraq exported over six million barrels of crude oil to the United States in July, reflecting a significant increase from the previous month, according to data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) on Monday.
The EIA reported that Iraq's oil exports to the U.S. reached 6.967 million barrels in July, with an average daily export rate of 169,000 barrels per day (bpd). This marks a rise from June, when Iraq exported 5.425 million barrels, averaging 136,000 bpd.
Throughout July, Iraq's export levels exhibited fluctuations. In the first week of the month, Iraq exported an average of 237,000 bpd.
However, this figure dropped to 79,000 bpd in the second week before surging to 314,000 bpd in the third week. The month concluded with a slight decrease to 207,000 bpd in the fourth week.
Iraq ranked as the fifth-largest oil exporter to the U.S. in July, trailing behind Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia, according to the EIA data.
