Fuel Prices Set to Drop in Kurdistan Region as Ministry Lifts Import Restrictions
The price of gasoline in the Kurdistan Region is expected to decrease following a decision by the Ministry of Natural Resources to allow fuel imports from central and southern Iraq.
Ramyar Razgar, a spokesman for the fuel market, confirmed that the import of gasoline and other oil products from the rest of Iraq will result in a significant price reduction. “The decision will lead to lower fuel prices across the board,” Razgar stated.
He further explained that gasoline prices, which have been high in local warehouses, will see a drop of 50 to 100 dinars per liter within the next 10 days to two weeks.
The Ministry’s decision covers not only gasoline but also other oil products like kerosene and diesel, which were previously restricted from entering the Kurdistan Region from Iraq.
