South Korea’s national football team secured a 3-2 victory over Iraq in a World Cup qualifying match on October 15 at Yongin Mireu Stadium, Gyeonggi Province.

The win marks South Korea's third consecutive victory under new manager Hong Myung-bo, bringing them closer to their 11th consecutive World Cup appearance.

Striker Oh Se-hun (Machida Zelvia) opened the scoring, followed by a second-half goal from his replacement, Oh Hyeon-gyu (Genk). Midfielder Lee Jae-sung (Mainz) sealed the win with the third and final goal.

South Korea must finish as Group B winners or runners-up to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Their next qualifiers will be against Kuwait on November 14 and Palestine on November 19.
