President Of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid Attends Foreign Ministry Centenary
President Abdul Latif and PM Al-Sudani attended a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to celebrate its centenary.
According to Media Office of the Prime Minister : In his speech during the event, Prime Minister Al-Sudani extended his congratulations on the centennial milestone, which traces back to the initiation of Iraq’s modern diplomatic efforts in 1924. He highlighted the nation’s transformation following independence and its admission to the League of Nations, positioning Iraq as an influential regional and international actor.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to prioritizing foreign affairs in alignment with Iraq’s national interests and constitutional principles. He emphasized the importance of nurturing a new generation of young diplomats dedicated to the country’s democratic political system, with the government providing full support to this initiative.
Addressing recent regional developments, he also referenced Iraq’s humanitarian, political, and diplomatic contributions toward supporting Palestinians and Lebanese, as well as efforts to curb the escalation of war in the region.
