Iraqi Prime Minister Sudani Returns to Baghdad After Key Meetings and Agreements in UK
Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has returned to Baghdad following a visit to the United Kingdom.
"Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has departed London for Baghdad after concluding an official visit to the UK," stated the Prime Minister's Media Office.
During his visit, the Iraqi prime minister held multiple meetings with senior British officials and signed several agreements.
According to the Prime Minister's Media Office, Sudani met with King Charles III and Prime Minister Keir Starmer. In a joint statement, they announced a comprehensive agreement between Iraq and Britain.
The Media Office also reported that, beyond political engagements, Sudani held several economic, scientific, and cultural meetings before returning to Iraq on Friday morning.
Sudani arrived in the UK on December 13 for a three-day visit, following Starmer’s Gulf trip focused on Middle East stability and domestic security.
