Turkey’s Interior Minister has announced the results of an operation targeting the Gulen Movement, revealing that 353 suspects were arrested last week in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared on X that the operation led to the arrest of 353 alleged members of the Gulen Movement, including 10 government officials, across 31 provinces in Turkey and North Kurdistan.

On February 15, Ali Yerlikaya reported that 103 individuals suspected of being linked to the Gulen Movement had been arrested in 39 governorates.

The Gulen Movement, founded by Fethullah Gulen, claims its goal is to spread the religion of Islam.

The movement was officially labeled a terrorist organization by the Ankara Prosecutor’s Office on December 11.

Turkish authorities hold the movement responsible for the failed coup attempt of July 15, 2016, and have been conducting ongoing operations against its members and supporters.

Following the death of Fethullah Gulen on October 20, 2024, in Pennsylvania, operations targeting his movement have become more intense.
