The 70 Forces Command has denied reports circulating on unofficial social media platforms claiming that Peshmerga and other military units conducted movements in disputed areas.

In an official statement, the command stated:

“We completely reject these baseless claims. No military movement has taken place in the area.”

The statement emphasized that the 70 Forces maintain full coordination with the joint leadership of the Iraqi Armed Forces.

“In recent days, we have remained in close contact with Iraqi counterparts to counter terrorist threats. The Peshmerga forces are fully alert and ready to confront any hostile plans.”

The command also urged media outlets and social media users to verify information from reliable sources:

“We assure our people that these reports are far from the truth. We call on all media platforms to approach such news with responsibility and integrity.”
