The Kurdistan Region government announced on Tuesday that non-oil revenues for May have been transferred to the federal government.

The Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Finance and Economy confirmed that 120 billion dinars in non-oil revenues were deposited in cash into the bank account of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance.

A source told Channel8 that the Iraqi Council of Ministers is expected to decide on the payment of May salaries and will hold its weekly meeting on Tuesday to discuss the disbursement.

Channel8 has learned that the KRG is expected to deliver 81,000 barrels of oil to SOMO today as part of the agreement between Baghdad and Erbil.

According to a decision by the Iraqi Council of Ministers last week, the KRG will transfer an estimated 120 billion dinars to the Federal Ministry of Finance as the federal share of May’s non-oil revenues. This amount is subject to final confirmation following a joint audit. A task force from both ministries will review the revenues and report to the Federal Council within two weeks.

A joint committee will finalize salary payments in the Kurdistan Region within three months, in line with a Federal Court ruling. Salary disbursement will commence once SOMO confirms oil deliveries of 230,000 barrels per day at the Ceyhan port.
