The number of people who suffered food poisoning at a restaurant in Duhok has risen to 200, according to health officials.

Metin Jamil, spokesperson for the Duhok Directorate of Health, told Channel8 that “the number of people who were poisoned at a restaurant in the city has increased to 200, and all of them have been taken to the hospital.”

He added that “the number of food poisoning cases may continue to rise.”

A reporter for Channel8 in Duhok stated that the restaurant in question has been closed by the relevant committees, and legal measures have been taken against its owner.
