Iraqi banknotes of 10,000, 5,000, and 25,000 dinars are displayed in Baghdad.

An advisor to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani told Channel8 that a decision has been made to send the June salaries.

A source in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) added that the decision requires Erbil to deposit non-oil revenues into Iraq’s financial account.

According to Sudani’s advisor, the Iraqi Council of Ministers discussed the work of the joint committee and gave it one week to reach an agreement on outstanding issues, including non-oil revenues and oil exports between Erbil and Baghdad.

Channel8 has learned that during the meeting, Sudani said people cannot be left without salaries, urging both Erbil and Baghdad to reach a conclusion within the week so that July and August salaries can also be addressed.

The meeting further called on the KRG to deposit 120 billion Iraqi dinars in non-oil revenues into the financial account of the Iraqi Ministry of Finance.

A KRG source told Channel8: “After the decision reaches the KRG Council of Ministers, we will deposit the non-oil revenue of June, which is 120 billion dinars, into the financial account of the central bank in Erbil.”
