KRG Council of Ministers Meets After Month-Long Pause to Discuss Baghdad Talks
After a month-long pause, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Council of Ministers is meeting today to review the work of joint committees between Erbil and Baghdad and address several other issues.
The Council had not convened during August. Today’s session will focus on ongoing talks with the federal government aimed at resolving disputes over oil exports and non-oil revenues.
The meeting, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, comes ahead of the arrival of a Baghdad ministerial delegation to Erbil.
According to officials, the federal committee will hold a high-level meeting with the KRG delegation on non-oil revenues. A joint report is expected to be prepared following the talks, which will then be presented to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
