Leaders of the Kurdistan Region marked the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Thursday, issuing messages of peace, unity, and coexistence.

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani expressed hope that the occasion would spread the Prophet’s message of peace and humanity across the Muslim community and the world.

I hope the birthday of the Prophet will be an opportunity to further strengthen the high values and principles of humanity and promote peace, unity, coexistence and justice

Barzani said.

Prime Minister Masrour Barzani also issued a message, reiterating the importance of peace, coexistence, and respect for the values embodied by the Prophet’s life and teachings.

Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), said in his message that the anniversary should serve as a reminder of Islam’s core values.

I hope this great anniversary will further revive the high values of the holy religion of Islam and encourage us to strengthen the spirit of unity and brotherhood among all, to work together for the stability and development of our country and serve our people

Talabani said.

The anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birth, known as Mawlid al-Nabi, is observed across the Muslim world with prayers, gatherings, and community celebrations.
