A source in the Federal Financial Monitoring Bureau told Channel8 that the Iraqi government has demanded the full handover of all non-oil revenues and insisted that 50% of the revenues be returned to the Kurdistan Region, but the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation rejected the proposal.

The source said a high-level meeting is underway between representatives of the KRG, the Federal Financial Monitoring Bureau , and the Iraqi Ministry of Finance, focused on the issue of the Kurdistan Region’s non-oil revenues.

According to Channel8, an advisor to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is attending the talks. However, Finance Minister Taif Sami is not present, reportedly due to the absence of KRG Finance Minister Awat Sheikh Janab.
