Channel8 has learned that the meeting will address oil exports from the Kurdistan Region based on agreements with the Iraqi Oil Ministry, marking a step toward implementing the new oil framework.
Non-oil revenues and Erbil’s stance
The Council of Ministers will also reiterate its position on non-oil revenues, one of the key points of contention between Erbil and Baghdad.
Salary funding and Baghdad’s remittance
The KRG Council of Ministers is set to discuss sending 120 billion dinars as non-oil revenue for July. According to Channel8, the transfer will be expedited so that Baghdad can release salaries to the Kurdistan Region as soon as possible.
