Mohsen Mandalawi, Deputy Speaker of Iraq’s Council of Representatives, issued a statement on the occasion of launching the parliamentary election campaign.

He urged that the electoral process remain impartial and that public resources and state capabilities not be exploited in this decisive national undertaking.

In his message, Mandalawi emphasized that with the initiation of the election call, Iraq is entering a new phase of democratic leadership. He reiterated the collective commitment to building a peaceful and strong Iraq, honoring the sacrifices of martyrs and the enduring legacy of national service.

Brotherhood Through Honest Service

The Deputy Speaker described the moment as an opportunity to reaffirm the values of brotherhood among political actors, focusing on programs, visions, and sincere service, rather than on division and destruction.

 Commitment to Electoral Commission Guidelines

Mandalawi also called on all political lists and candidates to adhere to the principles of honorable competition and comply with the regulations set forth by the Independent High Electoral Commission.

 No Use of Public Resources

Regarding the election call and its impartiality, Mandalawi stressed the importance of safeguarding the neutrality of the process. He firmly opposed the use of public funds and state power in this pivotal democratic exercise.

According to him, Iraqis deserve elections that are conducted with dignity and pride, allowing them to pursue their constitutional rights with national awareness and hope for a better future. He concluded by affirming that the decision to vote should mark the beginning of trust in the people's ability to drive change and protect democracy.
