Since the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to Turkey’s international Ceyhan port on September 27, a total of 4 million barrels of oil have been exported.

Oil Delivered to Ceyhan and Sold on the Market
Kamal Mohammed, acting Minister of Natural Resources in the Kurdistan Region, revealed during a meeting with Yann Braem, the French Consul in the region, that 4 million barrels of Kurdistan’s oil have reached Ceyhan’s storage facilities and been sold on the market.

Daily Export Volume Between 170,000–180,000 Barrels
Over the past 23 days, daily exports have ranged between 170,000 and 180,000 barrels, facilitated through the SOMO company.

Estimated Revenue: $240 Million
Assuming an average price of $60 per barrel, the total revenue is estimated at $240 million. After deducting $16 per barrel for transportation fees paid to oil companies, $64 million goes to transport firms and $176 million remains as net income for Iraq’s government treasury.

Daily Production Estimated at 230,000–240,000 Barrels
Accounting for 50,000 barrels per day used domestically, the Kurdistan Region’s current daily oil production is estimated between 230,000 and 240,000 barrels.

Strong Coordination with Baghdad
The acting minister emphasized that coordination between the Kurdistan Region’s ministry and Iraq’s federal oil ministry is strong and ongoing.

Agreement Reached on September 25
On September 25, the federal government, the Kurdistan Regional Government, and oil companies reached an agreement to resume exports to Turkey’s Ceyhan port, with shipments restarting two days later.
