As the 11th Halabja Pomegranate and Autumn Festival kicks off, the Directorate of Agriculture in the governorate announced that 630 dedicated booths have been prepared to showcase a wide variety of products.

Booth Details:
Sattar Mahmood, Director of Agriculture in Halabja, shared the breakdown of the exhibition spaces:

• Agricultural Products: 280 booths, including 130 specifically for displaying different varieties of Halabja pomegranates.
• Local Brands: 30 booths.
• Honey: 10 booths.
• Food Items: 250 booths.
• Handicrafts: 100 booths.
• Other Products: Special booths have been arranged for dried goods, olives, and animal products.

Pomegranate Harvest Forecast for This Year:
The Director of Agriculture stated that Halabja Governorate contains 10,600 dunams of pomegranate orchards, cultivated by approximately 2,300 farmers. He estimated that this year’s pomegranate yield will range between 20,000 to 30,000 tons.
