The Iraqi committee investigating the attack on the Khor Mor gas field held three meetings within six hours on Friday with security officials and representatives of Dana Gas, according to sources familiar with the process.

The committee reviewed surveillance footage from the facility, including recordings before and after the explosion, as part of efforts to determine how the attack was carried out. The Iraqi interior minister and the head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service also met to examine evidence, including remnants of drones and missiles believed to have been used in the strike.

Sources said the discussions focused on identifying the perpetrators and taking legal and security measures against those involved.

The committee decided to move forward with urgent political, security and administrative steps at the highest levels of the Iraqi government and major political parties to prevent further attacks on critical energy infrastructure.

Officials also informed Dana Gas, the operator of the Khor Mor field, that measures will be taken to strengthen airspace protection over the site.
