The Israeli army stated that fighter jets targeted and destroyed an underground bunker, which was previously utilized by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as a command center and remained in use by high-ranking Iranian officials.

Israel, in coordination with the United States, announced a joint military campaign against Iran on Saturday aimed at eliminating the country's nuclear and ballistic threats. During these operations, Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed in the attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated on Wednesday that Israel targets new leaders who “continue and lead the plan to destroy Israel" and eliminate him "no matter where he hides."

U.S. President Donald Trump also indicated that Washington will not accept certain leaders to be chosen and wants "involvement" in the process.

 Tehran Bunker Used by Iran's Leader as Emergency Command

Regarding the destruction of the site, the Israeli army said in a statement on Friday that "the underground military bunker, which was located beneath the regime's leadership compound in the center of Tehran, was intended to be used by the supreme leader of the Iranian regime as a secure emergency command center."

50 Jets Target Underground Network

The army noted that the supreme leader “was eliminated before he could use the bunker during operation 'Roaring Lion,' but the compound continued to be used by senior Iranian regime officials."

According to the army, around 50 combat jets were involved in the strikes on the underground network.
