Body of Flood Victim Recovered in Kirkuk After Three-Day Search

The body of Mohammad Osman, who was swept away by floodwaters in the Laylan sub-district last week, was recovered in Kirkuk.

Channel8 correspondent reported that after three days of searching, the body of Osman, a young man from Laylan sub-district, was found and transferred to the city’s Forensic Medicine Department.

Rescuers Search for Body

Osman was swept away by floodwaters on the afternoon of March 25 while attempting to pull his motorcycle out of the flood. 

For three days, residents of Kirkuk, along with some young people skilled in body recovery from rivers and streams, conducted searches for his body. 

3 Drown in This Year

So far this year, three residents have drowned in floods within Kirkuk Province.
