SpaceX has announced plans to enter the U.S. stock market in what is expected to become the largest public offering in Wall Street history. The move is projected to push Elon Musk’s net worth beyond $1 trillion.

Public Offering and Musk’s Wealth

SpaceX revealed plans to go public in the United States, allowing investors to trade the company’s shares. The public offering is expected to begin next month under the ticker symbol “SPCX.”

Because SpaceX values itself at $1.25 trillion, and Musk owns a majority stake in the company, his shares are estimated to be worth more than $600 billion, pushing his total net worth above $1 trillion.

SpaceX’s Financial Position and Revenue

According to filed documents, SpaceX generated $18.6 billion in revenue last year while recording losses of $4.9 billion. During the first three months of this year, the company reported $4.7 billion in sales against losses of $4.3 billion.

The company currently holds $102 billion in assets, including rockets and technical equipment, while carrying debts totaling $60.5 billion.

Legal Challenges and Artificial Intelligence Issues

SpaceX disclosed more than $500 million in legal expenses linked to several lawsuits. Some cases involve xAI’s “Grok” chatbot, which has faced accusations of generating deepfake images of women.

Musk has announced plans to dissolve xAI and merge it into SpaceX. The company is also facing lawsuits related to patent infringement, alleged violations of EU content laws, and data breaches.

Anthropic Agreement and Competition in AI

Documents revealed that SpaceX signed an agreement with Anthropic under which Anthropic will pay $15 billion annually to use xAI data centers owned by SpaceX.

The development comes after Musk recently lost a major legal dispute involving OpenAI and Sam Altman.

Operations and Political Controversy

The Starship rocket is scheduled for launch this week, while the company continues to face scrutiny over worker safety risks at its facilities.

At the same time, Musk has drawn criticism over his alliance with U.S. President Donald Trump, particularly following their joint visit to China last week.
