The People’s Assembly elections in Rojava concluded after voting was held in the cities of Hasakah, Kobani, Derik, and Qamishlo.

The election process began today and ended at noon, after which the results were officially announced.

Kurdish and Arab Representatives Elected Across Several Cities

In Derik, Ahmad Murad, a Kurd, and Alwan Ali, an Arab, were elected as members of the People’s Assembly.

In Hasakah, Fasla Youssef, who is Kurdish, along with Ibrahim Mustafa Ali and Omar Issa Hayis, who are Arab, secured seats in the assembly.

In Kobani, Farhad Anwar, who is Kurdish, and Shawakh Ibrahim Asaf, who is Arab, were elected as representatives.

Meanwhile, in Qamishlo, Kim Hussein and Radwan Sido, who are Kurdish, together with Abdul-Halim Ali and Muhammad Maddi, who are Arab, won seats in the assembly.

Total Kurdish Representation Rises to Eight Members

With the latest results, five Kurdish representatives from Kobani, Hasakah, Qamishlo, and Derik will represent Kurds in Syria’s People’s Assembly.

Previously, during the People’s Assembly elections held on November 5, 2025, three Kurdish candidates from Afrin were also elected, bringing the total number of Kurdish members in the council to eight.
