Rejection of Strait of Hormuz Customs and Tariffs
Qasim al-Araji, Iraq’s National Security Advisor, announced on his official account on the social platform X that the voices claiming Iraq pays Iran for the passage of its oil tankers are far from the truth. Al-Araji clarified that previously, the government in Tehran had removed Iraq from the list of countries subject to customs and tariff restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iraqi National Security Advisor pointed out that the Middle East, due to its strategic position connecting three continents, holds great importance. He stressed that it is necessary for the countries of the region to work together to protect their regional security and safeguard trade routes.
Continuity of Oil Exports from Basra
Meanwhile, according to Iraqi media sources, the process of exporting oil continues without interruption. In the latest shipment, a Chinese tanker at the ports of Basra province managed to load 2 million barrels of Iraqi oil and sailed smoothly toward its intended destination.
