The Media Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister announced that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi dispatched a letter through Hamid al-Shatri, the head of the Iraqi National Intelligence Service (INIS), to Ahmad al-Sharaa, President of Syria.

Focus on Strengthening Iraq-Syria Relations

In the letter, al-Zaidi emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Iraq and Syria through bilateral coordination to confront regional crises and challenges, particularly in the security and economic fields, within the framework of mutual interests.

Syria Reaffirms Commitment to Cooperation with Iraq

In response, Ahmed al-Sharaa expressed his gratitude to al-Zaidi and the Iraqi government. He reaffirmed his country’s commitment to supporting Iraq in addressing shared challenges, describing the reinforcement of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in security and economic matters, as highly important.
