Pakistan Says Peace Agreement Is Near Finalization, Technical Talks to Follow
Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced in a post on X that negotiations toward a peace agreement have reached an advanced stage, expressing optimism that a final deal could be completed within the next 24 hours and followed by additional technical discussions.
Pakistan Signals Progress Toward Peace Agreement
In his statement published on X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the parties involved are now “closer to a peace deal than ever before.”
According to the Prime Minister, finalization of the agreement is likely within the next 24 hours if negotiations proceed as expected.
Electronic Signing and Technical Talks Planned
Sharif stated that immediately after the agreement is finalized, Pakistan is preparing for an electronic signing process.
He added that the following stage would involve technical-level talks scheduled for next week to continue coordination and move the agreement toward implementation.
Thanks to International and Regional Partners
The Pakistani Prime Minister also thanked the United States and Iran for what he described as their continued commitment during the negotiations.
He further extended appreciation to regional partners for their support, writing: “We extend our sincere appreciation to our brothers in the region for their support.”
Sharif expressed confidence that the agreement, if completed, would become “a strong foundation for lasting peace” and contribute to long-term regional stability.
