A joint operation by Sulaymaniyah’s General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism (CTG) and the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) has led to the arrest of a wanted ISIS operative in Duz Khurmatu (Tuz Khurmatu).

The CTG announced on Monday that the suspect was apprehended in the Saladin Governorate following “rigorous intelligence tracking and investigation, carried out under an official judicial warrant.”

The strategically vital Duz Khurmatu district, a multi-ethnic territory under shared administrative jurisdiction along the Saladin-Kirkuk border, remains a critical corridor for joint counter-terrorism operations.
