Karbala Governor Thanks Halabja for Search Efforts and Humanitarian Support in Tourist Tragedy
The Governor of Karbala has issued a message of gratitude to the Halabja Governorate and its people, praising their role in recent search operations and describing their response as a strong example of national unity and humanitarian solidarity.
Official Message in Kurdish and Arabic
Karbala Governor Nusayif Jassim al-Khattabi published a message in both Kurdish and Arabic expressing his appreciation for the efforts carried out over recent days by civil defense teams and residents of Halabja during search operations linked to the case of the late tourist Ruqaya.
He also extended his condolences to the bereaved family.
Praise for Humanitarian Solidarity
In his statement, al-Khattabi thanked Halabja Governor Nuksha Nasih and the people of Halabja, saying, “Their humanitarian stance and genuine feelings demonstrated the most beautiful meanings of brotherhood and national unity.”
He added that “the sympathy and support they expressed for this Karbala family is proof of the authenticity of the Iraqi people and their humanitarian values,” noting that such solidarity will remain a source of pride and appreciation for the people of Karbala.
Planned Visit to Halabja
The Governor of Karbala also announced that he will visit Halabja in the coming days to personally convey his gratitude and appreciation to the local authorities and residents for their support.
