US President Donald Trump said the United States remains committed to peace and expressed optimism about ongoing negotiations in the Middle East, saying he expects a comprehensive ceasefire involving multiple regional parties.

In a post on Truth Social on Thursday, Trump called on countries and groups across the region to remain committed to the diplomatic process.

Call for Continued Negotiations

“The United States is committed to PEACE, and we encourage everyone in the Middle East Region to maintain their commitment to allowing our negotiations to beautifully unfold,” Trump wrote.

The president did not provide details about the negotiations he referenced or identify the parties involved.

Optimism Over Markets and Oil Prices

Trump also pointed to recent movements in financial markets and energy prices as signs of positive developments.

“The Markets are loving what is happening with Oil Prices way down, and Stocks way up,” he wrote.

The statement came as investors continued to monitor developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on global energy markets.

Expectation of Broader Ceasefire

Trump said he expects a ceasefire to take effect across multiple fronts in the region.

“We expect a complete Ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Israel,” he wrote.

The president did not elaborate on the status of any ceasefire negotiations or provide a timeline for a potential agreement.

Regional Focus

The comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East and preventing further escalation involving Israel, Lebanon, and armed groups operating in the region.

Neither the White House nor regional parties immediately provided additional details regarding the negotiations referenced in Trump's statement.

“Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump concluded in the post.
