U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Iran has been significantly weakened by recent developments, dismissing suggestions that the country is in a stronger position than it was several months ago.

In a post published on his Truth Social platform, Trump said Iran had sought recent engagement with the United States and asserted that the country had suffered major military setbacks.

“We didn’t meet out of desperation, Iran did,” Trump wrote, adding that Iran had lost much of its military capability.

Claims of Military Decline

Trump argued that Iran no longer possesses the military capabilities it once had, claiming the country’s air force, navy, air defense systems, radar network, and other strategic assets have been severely degraded.

He also maintained that recent developments have significantly reduced Iran’s military strength and regional influence.

Opposition to Financial Relief

The president reiterated his opposition to providing financial assistance or sanctions relief to Tehran, stating that Iran would receive “no money” from the United States.

The remarks reflect the administration’s continued hardline approach toward Iran, centered on economic and diplomatic pressure.

Criticism of Democratic Opponents

Trump also criticized Democratic opponents, whom he referred to as “Dumocrats,” for arguing that Iran is better off now than it was four months ago.

Rejecting that assessment, Trump said recent events have left Iran in a far weaker position and questioned how critics could reach a different conclusion.

Remarks Amid Ongoing U.S.-Iran Tensions

The comments come amid continuing tensions between Washington and Tehran, with debates over Iran’s military capabilities, regional influence, and future relations with the United States remaining central issues in American foreign policy.
