The Kurdish Mobile Film Festival in Sulaymaniyah

In Sulaymaniyah, Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), took part in the Kurdish Mobile Film Festival, which was organized by the Vim Foundation.

After viewing the films, he extended his thanks and appreciation to Ms. Lava Hikmat, the festival director, as well as to all organizers and participants for managing the festival to a high standard.

Encouraging Youth for National Development

In his speech, Bafel Jalal Talabani emphasized that the festival represents a valuable opportunity to encourage young people passionate about film and cinema.

He noted that it allows their hobbies to evolve into major projects and enables them to become part of the country’s development process, reaffirming his belief in the capabilities of youth.

Support for Youth and Vision for Cinema Development

The PUK President expressed full support for young participants and also presented awards to festival winners and participants.

He further expressed hope that such initiatives will serve as a stronger incentive to develop the film and cinema sector in the Kurdistan Region, with the ultimate aim of enriching Kurdish culture and art.
