Masoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, is expected to visit Pakistan on Tuesday, following the peace talks between Tehran and Washington held in Switzerland under the mediation of Pakistan and Qatar.

Expressing Gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan

Habibullah Abbasi, Director of Public Relations for the Iranian Presidency, told the official IRNA news agency that one of the main items on the visit's agenda is to express gratitude to Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, for Islamabad's mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.

Continuation of Bilateral Consultations

Along with expressing gratitude, the purpose of the visit is to continue bilateral consultations between the two nations, advance ongoing cooperation, and review economic agreements previously signed between the two countries.

Conclusion of the First Round of Tehran-Washington Negotiations

This Monday morning, the first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran concluded at the political level in Switzerland. The two mediating countries, Pakistan and Qatar, announced in a joint statement that the high-level negotiation committee has agreed on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days.

This establishes the foundation for the immediate commencement of further technical talks. Additionally, a communication hotline has been established between the parties to ensure the safe passage of commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz.
