Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi issued a statement reaffirming the government's stance on anti-corruption, state asset recovery, and institutional reform. The Prime Minister emphasized that the administration will maintain its current trajectory despite external pressures or systemic challenges.

Commitment to Reform and Asset Recovery

In his address, Al-Zaidi emphasized that the establishment of a state founded on justice and strong public institutions remains the core objective of his administration.

"Our government remains firmly committed to combating corruption, recovering state assets, and strengthening a state founded on strong institutions and justice," Al-Zaidi stated. He added that the executive branch would not waver from this course regardless of the obstacles encountered during the reform process.

Acknowledgement of Political and Religious Leadership

The Prime Minister credited the ongoing anti-corruption initiatives to a broad base of national cooperation, expressing gratitude to the public and a wide spectrum of Iraqi political and religious leadership.

The statement specifically acknowledged the support of the Council of Representatives, the Supreme Judicial Council, the Supreme Religious Authorities, and Sayyid Muqtada Al-Sadr. Al-Zaidi also noted the cooperation of major political blocs, including the Coordination Framework, the National Political Council, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

Anti-Corruption Defined as a National Cause

Concluding his remarks, Al-Zaidi highlighted the role played by security forces, oversight institutions, tribal sheikhs, and media professionals in upholding accountability.
