The international coalition forces' financial assistance for the month of May has been successfully deposited into the official account of the Ministry of Peshmerga affairs.

An official from the ministry confirmed to Channel8 that the multi-billion dinar funding package will benefit more than 80,000 Peshmerga personnel and officers, with payouts scheduled to begin early this week.

Funding Breakdown and Individual Shares

The total financial aid package provided by the coalition forces for May amounts to 6,605,920,000 Iraqi dinars.

According to the approved distribution rosters finalized by the ministry's accounting unit, the funds will be dispersed as follows:

  • Total Beneficiaries: 80,560 Peshmerga officers and active personnel are verified on the aid list.
  • Individual Share: Each eligible service member will receive a flat assistance payment of 82,000 dinars.

Transition to Digital Distribution

The Ministry of Peshmerga is executing the payout through the regional government's centralized "MyAccount" digital banking initiative. This modern billing pipeline follows the successful model executed on June 4, 2026, when the previous month's April coalition assistance was seamlessly distributed directly into the personnel's private bank accounts.

Ministry officials noted that moving away from cash handouts to digital banking ensures transparency, speeds up delivery, and aligns with ongoing structural reforms within the Kurdistan Region's defense architecture.
