U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the United States will grant Ukraine a license to manufacture its own Patriot missiles, while threatening Iran with further attacks.

Speaking alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the NATO summit, Trump said that he decided to give the license, telling Zelensky, “This way, you can't complain that we're not giving them enough.”

He noted that although official communication has not yet been sent to the company, he expects a favorable outcome.

Trump’s statement comes amid escalating Russian air attacks on Kyiv and heavy Ukrainian drone strikes targeting energy infrastructure deep inside Russian territory.

The U.S. president stated that recent Ukrainian strikes represent an escalation that could ultimately help bring an end to the war.

Trump: Putin Wants to Get Peace Deal Done

Trump reiterated that both Moscow and Kyiv want to strike a deal to halt the war, adding, “I believe that President Putin wants to get it done, and that should be a good combination.”

Zelensky Hails Productive Talks with Trump 

Following the meeting, Zelensky wrote on X that the meeting was productive, emphasizing that he is “grateful for the strong emphasis placed on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense to better protect people’s lives.”

He stated that he and President Trump discussed strategic ideas to bring peace closer, adding that their teams would promptly follow up on all diplomatic and productive efforts to resolve the conflict.

Trump Vows 'Hard' Retaliation Against Iran After Base Strikes 

Regarding the Iran ceasefire and restarting tensions, Trump said that the United States will hit them “hard” tonight, accusing Tehran of violating the terms of the agreement “every day.”

He also warned about reinstating a naval blockade of Iranian ports, highlighting that “it will only be a blockade for Iran, anybody else can have whatever they want.”

The U.S. launched massive airstrikes on over 80 Iranian targets in retaliation for attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran swiftly retaliated by striking dozens of American military installations in Bahrain and Kuwait.

Trump declared that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran is officially "over" and called any further diplomatic talks a total "waste of time."

During the Zelensky meeting, he also warned of a potential naval blockade on Iranian ports, underlining that the restrictions would apply strictly to Iran while allowing all other countries to move cargo freely.

Tehran Says Peace Framework ‘Ineffective’, Threatens Retaliations

In the meantime, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that the U.S. airstrikes and the cancellation of oil export licenses have "rendered fundamental elements of the war-ending agreement ineffective .”

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also announced that it hit dozens of U.S. installations and shot down a drone, warning that any location facilitating a U.S. attack would be considered a legitimate target.
