Civil Defense Issues Heat Safety Advice
The Civil Defense Directorate has urged residents to avoid direct sunlight between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
It also advised drivers not to leave flammable items, including perfumes, lighters, laptops, and mobile phones, inside parked vehicles. In addition, motorists are encouraged to leave their vehicle windows slightly open when parked in direct sunlight to help regulate interior temperatures and reduce the risk of fires or explosions.
