Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei Vows Revenge for Father's Killing
Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has vowed to avenge the killing of his father, Ali Khamenei, declaring that those responsible "will never see a peaceful death" and saying Iranian authorities have identified everyone involved in the attack.
Vows Revenge for Ali Khamenei's Death
In a statement issued on Saturday, July 11, Mojtaba Khamenei said Iran would avenge the deaths of his father and all those killed in the attacks.
He pledged that those responsible would face severe punishment and said the blood of the victims would not be shed in vain.
We Have Recorded Every Name
Khamenei said Iranian authorities have documented the identities of all those involved in the attacks.
Addressing those he blamed, he stated that they must take the wish of a peaceful and comfortable death in their beds to their graves, indicating they would be pursued regardless of their location.
Retaliation Will Continue
Mojtaba Khamenei said carrying out this pledge of retaliation does not depend on whether he or other Iranian officials remain alive.
Describing the mission as a divine duty, he said the promise would be fulfilled and added that freedom-seekers around the world would carry out part of that mission in the near future.
