The federal government has transferred more than 841 billion Iraqi dinars to the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Finance and Economy to cover the June salary budget for public sector employees.

Details of the Transferred Funds

A source within the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Finance and Economy told Channel8 that Baghdad has dispatched 841,161,000,000 Iraqi dinars (841 billion and 161 million dinars).

The source confirmed that the funds have been officially received and deposited into the Ministry of Finance and Economy's bank account at the Erbil branch of the Central Bank of Iraq.

Purpose of the Allocated Budget

The transferred funds are designated to cover June salaries for public sector employees and payroll beneficiaries in the Kurdistan Region.

The salary allocation was dispatched after the Iraqi Ministry of Finance completed the required financial procedures and the audit of the Kurdistan Region's payroll lists.
