A drone crashed this morning in a waste disposal area inside the Grand Faw Port in Basra Governorate. Local officials said the incident resulted only in the destruction of the aircraft, with no casualties or material damage reported, while port operations continued without interruption.

The drone crashed this morning at a waste disposal site within the Grand Faw Port in Basra Governorate.

Video footage from the scene showed a thick plume of smoke rising immediately after the crash.

According to al-Faw District Governor Walid al-Sharifi, the drone went down in a waste and debris yard inside the port and was completely destroyed.

Al-Sharifi confirmed that no casualties or material damage were recorded as a result of the crash.

The General Company for Ports of Iraq stated that the incident had no impact on operations at Grand Faw Port.

According to the company, work at the port is continuing as normal without interruption.
