Asayish forces arrested two ISIS terrorists and rescued a captive family during joint operations in Sulaymaniyah and Raparin.

The Kurdistan Region Security Agency (Asayish) announced on Monday that the General Directorate of Asayish Operations, in coordination with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service, successfully arrested two terrorists on June 14. 

Both wanted individuals were apprehended during two separate operations following close tracking and a thorough investigation. 

Asayish Rescues Hostage Family 

Asayish noted that following the operations, the wife and children of one of the terrorists were rescued after having previously been held captive by the militant. 

Terror Suspects Face Counter-Terrorism Charges 

The detained terrorists are currently held under Article 2 of the Counter-Terrorism Law, and investigations into their cases remain ongoing.
