Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian acknowledged on Monday that Iran is engaged in an all-out confrontation with the United States, warning the public that the nation must brace for the severe economic consequences of its resistance.

Speaking to judicial officials in Tehran, Pezeshkian emphasized that the nation’s survival now hinges on economic resilience.

"The reality is that today the Islamic Republic of Iran is engaged in a full-scale war," Pezeshkian said, according to an official statement from the presidency. "We must be realistic and accept the natural consequences of this resistance."

The Economy as the Primary Frontline

Pezeshkian underscored that the critical battleground has shifted from traditional warfare to the everyday livelihoods of the Iranian people. He cautioned that unaddressed financial strain could erode public trust and destabilize the government from within.

"If economic pressures cause social discontent to form and this discontent spreads, the enormous social capital that the people have created in support of the state may be damaged," he warned.
