Iran’s army announced Friday that it launched drone attacks against American military facilities in Bahrain and Jordan, describing the strikes as retaliation for recent US operations against the Islamic republic.

According to a statement broadcast on state television, “fuel tanks, large equipment warehouses, silos, and barracks” at Isa Air Base in Bahrain were hit by Arash kamikaze drones. An AFP journalist in Bahrain reported hearing an explosion and warning sirens Friday morning, though the connection to the alleged strike remains unconfirmed.

The Iranian military also claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Jordan’s Al-Azraq base, targeting aircraft hangars, aviation maintenance facilities, and barracks. Jordanian authorities, however, have not reported any incidents in recent hours.

Tehran maintains that any US military installation in the Middle East used for strikes against Iran constitutes a legitimate target for retaliation.
