The Iraqi Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, has announced a national initiative to eradicate illiteracy within the ranks of security forces.

"This step aims to elevate the educational standards and operational efficiency of personnel in executing their legal and administrative duties."

Efforts to Eliminate Illiteracy in Security Institutions

Around 11,000 personnel within the Ministry of Interior are currently illiterate, and the ministry plans to enroll them all in specialized literacy programs.

First Joint Conference Held

Regarding the rollout, the Ministry of Interior announced that the Executive Authority for Illiteracy Eradication held its first joint conference on Saturday, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Police Command.

Target Number of Enrollees Confirmed

During the conference, Abdul Karim Abtan al-Jubouri, Minister of Education and Head of the Supreme Board for Illiteracy Eradication, emphasized the scope of the program. "A total of 11,000 Ministry of Interior personnel will be enrolled in illiteracy eradication programs."

Logistics Provided to Ensure Success

Addressing operational support, Hussein Al-Awadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, reaffirmed the ministry's full commitment to the initiative. "We are providing full support by preparing educational centers, supplying necessary resources, and coordinating with the illiteracy eradication authority to enhance the academic qualifications of our staff."
