Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Caretaker Prime Minister Masrour Barzani reaffirmed the government's commitment to combating corruption during a meeting with the head of the Kurdistan Region’s Commission of Integrity, emphasizing the protection of public funds and stronger institutional coordination.

Integrity Commission Presents Progress Report

On Sunday, Masrour Barzani received Ahmed Anwar, Head of the Commission of Integrity. During the meeting, Anwar presented an overview of the commission’s recent activities, including progress in auditing and oversight procedures.

The two sides discussed the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation among relevant institutions across the Kurdistan Region to intensify anti-corruption efforts and prevent the misuse or waste of public funds.

Barzani reiterated the government's commitment to confronting corruption in all its forms. He also affirmed the KRG’s readiness to provide the Commission of Integrity with the support and facilitation needed to carry out its work more effectively across the Kurdistan Region.
