The first local products festival has begun at the Ahmed Awa summer resort within the boundaries of Halabja Governorate and will continue for three days.
The event is open to tourists, visitors, and guests each day from 10:00 AM until midnight.
Around 150 booths have been set up at the festival to showcase products from the region.
Amin Haji, the festival supervisor, told Channel8 that the exhibition includes handicrafts, local foods, regional products, and orchard harvests.
Among the products on display are locally grown figs and walnuts.
Hawraman Jalal, spokesperson for Halabja Tourism, told Channel8 that tourist groups have been invited to visit the festival.
The event is being held under the supervision of the Governor of Halabja and the Directorate of Tourism, in cooperation with the Khurmal Network of Organizations.
Organizers expect the festival to attract a significant number of visitors and tourists during its three-day run.
Jalal said that if visitor participation remains strong, the event could be held annually in the coming years.
